Before you start
You need access to the current email inbox. Being signed into Discord alone is not enough; Discord Support cannot change the address for you.
Desktop or browser
User Settings → My Account → Email
- Select the gear next to your username, then My Account.
- Select Edit beside the email address.
- Follow the verification prompts, enter the new address and finish the change.
- Open the new inbox and verify the address using Discord’s email.

On mobile
Open your profile, select the settings gear, then Account → Email. Follow the prompts, select Change Email and verify the new inbox.
If the change fails
- Email already registered
- Use an address that is not attached to another Discord account.
- Invalid email
- Check the address. Discord recommends waiting 24 hours before trying that same address again.
- Changing email too fast
- Wait 24 hours before trying again. Repeated attempts will not resolve the limit.
- No access to the old inbox
- Recover the mailbox through its email provider before retrying.
